The Ateneo Aquathlon 2010 was successfully conducted on 14 March at the Ateneo De Manila University, Quezon City. Aquathlon consists of a continuous, two-stage race involving swimming followed by running. The Ateneo Aquathlon 2010 consisted of a 600 m swim leg and a 6 km run leg -- one being an individual event, the Aquathlon Classic, and the other, the Aquathlon Relay.
The tenacious tandem of D/Cdt Michael Allaine Suzuki (Class 2013) and Mr. Christian Aquilo (Physical Education instructor) won a medal for landing Third Place in the Aquathlon Relay with a time of 34 minutes and 20 seconds. The other winners are as follows: Mr. Gerrol Castillo and Ms. Joma Bongcales (2nd Place), and Mr. Kristian Libat and Mr. Roger Denolo (1st Place).
Not far behind are NTMA’s other 2-man teams, composed of Mr. Jhunbie C. Serna, Head of the Cadet Affairs Office, and E/Cdt Chilo Florendo; D/Cdt Anthony Aguilar and E/Cdt Jeffrey Carlos; E/Cdt Leo Galicia and 2O Ferdinand D. Tabilog; E/Cdt Kriztian Ore and 3AE Juan Carlos Calibuso; D/Cdt Jeffrey Matalote and E/Cdt Daryl John Sorilla; E/Cdt Justine Palita and E/Cdt Shipto Puen; D/Cdt Jarred Sevilla and E/Cdt Eduardo Nuguid; and, E/Cdt Ferdie Lomadeo and E/Cdt Malik Gumaua. On the other hand, OIC-NW Andrew Dominique Pedregosa and Ms. Ayesa Polias, Guidance Counselor, both put up a good fight in the Aquathlon Classic.
